A network of organizations was activated to coordinate the support that all the organizations that work in the interior of Suriname give or plan to give. Conservation International Suriname (CIS), Amazon Conservation Team -Suriname (ACT-S) and The Organization of Indigenous peoples in Suriname (OIS) took the initiative to set up this platform and support the communities in the interior of Suriname.

Conservation International Suriname is one of the partners of the South Suriname program (TWTIS) and has been working with the communities in South Suriname for many years. During these years a strong working relationship with the communities and friendships with community members were built. For this, Conservation International feels obliged to support it's friends and the most important protectors of the forest. CI staff supports the coordination of the logistics and  communication with the communities and works with the other partners to get the right support where it needs to be.

Green Growth Suriname Foundation’s (GGS) mission is to further advance the people of Suriname’s wellbeing and welfare by conserving the biological and cultural richness of the country.
